Senior Quantity Surveyor

The CompanyA market-leading Principal Contractor who completes projects for major blue chip retail clients are looking to add to their Commercial team. This business has over 25 years' of experience within the industry delivering high quality fittings and bespoke projects across the retail sector.The RoleSenior Quantity Surveyor supporting the commercial team in delivering refit and refurbishment packages on retail projects nationwide ranging in value (£50k - £1m). Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you must possess the following; 5+ years' experience working as an Quantity Surveyor for a Main Contractor or a Fit-Out ContractorStrong knowledge of commercial and construction contracts such as JCTPreferred background in fit out or commercial constructionKnowledge of refit and refurbishment projects with values ranging between £50k - £1mGood communicator, able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligationsWell organised, self-starter, able to implement procedures and effectively manage all aspects of the worksCommercial knowledge and ability to negotiate terms with a range of partiesDuties Submission of interim payment applicationsPreparation of monthly cost and value reconciliation reports / Project cost controlAssisting with all commercial aspects of allocated projectsPreparation and submission of interim valuationsManage and value variationsAttend meetings for the agreement of final accountsPost contract liaison with clientsSub-contract negotiation and lettingJoint responsibility of managing contract costs including payments to sub-contractorsAssist with the management of contractual documentation and letters / Understanding of sub-contractsPlacing sub-contract ordersThis is a Permanent position with a competitive salary (£60,000 - £70,000 + Package) on offer for the successful candidate.
