Welsh-Speaking Behaviour Mentor – BlackwoodLocation : Blackwood Pay : £13.75 per hour / £89 per day Hours : Monday – Friday, 8 : 30am – 3 : 30pm ️ Start Date : Immediate start availableWe are looking for a resilient, enthusiastic, and dedicated Welsh-speaking Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist school setting in the Blackwood area.The school supports Key Stage 2 pupils aged 7–11 who are unable to attend mainstream school due to medical needs, anxiety, or complex mental health challenges. Many of the pupils are also diagnosed with autism and display behaviours that require specialist support.Your Role Will Include : Supporting pupils on a 1 : 1 basis and in small groupsDeveloping and implementing behaviour support plansEncouraging and motivating pupils to engage in their learningResponding to challenging behaviour, using de-escalation strategies and physical intervention when necessaryWorking collaboratively as part of a supportive team of Behaviour MentorsWe Are Looking for Someone Who : Is fluent in Welsh (essential)Has strong behaviour management experience and a passion for working with children with additional needsIs confident, adaptable, and professionalBuilds positive, trusting relationships with pupilsHas previous experience as a TA, HLTA, or in a similar support roleIf you’re passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives and can confidently support pupils in Welsh, we’d love to hear from you.
