IT Support Engineer - 1st / 2nd LineLocation : Manchester, Remote (UK-based) Day Rate : £(Apply online only) / day Contract : 3 month contractWe are hiring for an IT Support Engineer (1st & 2nd Line) on behalf of a digital consultancy delivering cloud-native platforms and innovative solutions for a range of enterprise clients. Their managed services team provides expert technical support to internal users and client environments, primarily built on Microsoft technologies.This is a remote position, suitable for an IT Support Engineer with strong 1st and 2nd line experience who thrives in a high-availability helpdesk environment and can confidently manage a range of support tickets with minimal supervision.Responsibilities : Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support as part of the internal and external helpdesk functionTroubleshoot and resolve incidents across user desktops, laptops, and remote environmentsSupport Windows-based systems, including installation, configuration, and ongoing troubleshootingAssist with administration of Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Active DirectorySupport Azure-based environments and Group Policy managementSet up and support VPNs and user access policiesWork collaboratively with other support engineers and escalate issues where necessaryRequired Skills and Experience : 5 + years experience in an IT Support Engineer or Service Desk Analyst role (1st and 2nd line)Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies : Windows 10 / 11 and Windows ServerOffice 365 / Microsoft 365Active Directory and Group PolicyAzure administrationExchange OnlineFamiliarity with VPN configuration and remote access supportConfident working independently and resolving technical issues remotelyNice to Have : Experience working in a managed services environment or supporting external clientsITIL awareness or certificationsRelevant Microsoft certificationsThis is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a team supporting modern digital platforms, with the potential for extension depending on project requirements.Click Apply Now to be considered for this IT Support Engineer (1st & 2nd Line) contract
