Nurture SEN Teacher

Are you a compassionate, resilient, and skilled teacher passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with social, emotional, or behavioural needs?We are seeking a dedicated Nurture Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive team. You will lead a small nurture group of pupils who need additional emotional and social support, helping them build the confidence and resilience to re-engage with learning and thrive in a mainstream setting.Key Responsibilities : Teach and support a small group of pupils with social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties in a dedicated nurture space.Deliver a nurturing, structured curriculum tailored to pupil's academic and emotional needs.Develop individual learning plans and implement strategies to promote emotional regulation, positive relationships, and self-esteem.Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, external agencies, and families to ensure holistic support.Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches such as Boxall profiling, Thrive, or similar.Support the reintegration of pupils into mainstream classes when appropriate.What We're Looking For : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).Experience working with children with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs.A nurturing, child-centred approach rooted in empathy and understanding.Knowledge of nurture principles, attachment theory, and inclusive practice.Excellent communication and teamworking s...
