HLTA or Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

HLTA : range Point 8 to 10 (or current role point considered) - Actual salary £19,266 to £19,891

LSA : range Point 4 to 8 (or current role point considered) - Actual salary £18,089 to £19,266

Hours : 32.5 hours per week : 0830-1530

Weeks : 44 weeks per year (term time only, does not include inset days)

We are looking for a strong, existing HLTA or Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and hard-working team. We are a caring and supportive, two-form entry Catholic school in Southchurch.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Enthusiastic and motivated person with experience of working in a school.
  • Excellent team worker who can be flexible when needed.
  • Proactive, skilled adult who can interact with pupils and support their development with love and care.
  • For existing HLTAs, confident teaching a whole class of children and able to be flexible and adaptable.
  • Reflect on practice and explore ways of improving.
  • Support the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aimed at helping pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the planning of differentiated learning activities for individuals, delivering activities inside or outside the classroom.
  • Support at lunchtime.
  • Support the loving, Christian ethos of the school.
