Job Title : English and Maths KS3 SEN Intervention Tutor

Location :

East of England, Essex, Maldon

Job Type :

Temporary, Part-Time hours

Primary Industry :

Education and Training

Salary : 20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties :

1. Provide tailored English and Maths intervention sessions to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

2. Develop individualised education plans to support the learning needs of each student.

3. Monitor and assess student progress regularly to adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

4. Collaborate with the school's SEN department and other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

5. Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.

Required Qualifications :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience :

At least 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills :

  • Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support students with SEN
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Proficiency in assessment and tracking student progress
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Additional SEN training or qualifications
  • Experience working in a similar role within a school setting
  • Working Conditions :

  • Part-time hours, temporary position
  • Work closely with SEN students in a learners home setting
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
