Location : Laurence House, Catford, Lewisham (Hybrid - min. 2 days in office)

Hours : Full-time, 35 hours per week

Contract Type : Temporary (6 May 2025 - 4 August 2025)

Pay Rate : £28 per hour (Inside IR35)

Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in Employee Relations and Employment Law?

Lewisham Council is looking for a skilled HR Adviser (PO2) to join our Human Resources team on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage a varied caseload of Employee Relations (ER) matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and sickness absence cases

Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers across the council

Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies, and procedures

Support change management and workforce planning initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For :

Proven experience managing complex ER casework

Strong working knowledge of UK Employment Law

Experience working within a local authority or public sector setting

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
