MFL Teacher – High School in Waltham Forest

The PWR team at Teaching Personnel are working with an Ofsted-graded ‘Good’ high school in Waltham Forest to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher for a permanent role starting in September 2025 (or Easter for the right candidate). This is an excellent opportunity to join a school with a strong commitment to languages and a thriving MFL department.

The school is seeking a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons in French and / or Spanish, fostering a love of language learning and cultural understanding. Key Details :

  • Location : Waltham Forest
  • Start Date : September 2025 (or Easter for the right candidate)
  • Salary : MPS / UPS (Potential TLR for the right candidate)

The Role :

  • Teaching French and / or Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for experienced candidates
  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students
  • Promoting language learning through interactive and immersive teaching techniques
  • Supporting students in their exam preparation, coursework, and speaking assessments
  • Contributing to MFL department initiatives, including language clubs, trips abroad, and cultural events
  • The Ideal Candidate Will :

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching French and / or Spanish at secondary level, ideally with GCSE and / or A-Level experience
  • Be passionate about languages and committed to inspiring students to develop fluency and confidence
  • Have strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment
  • Be open to professional development opportunities and career progression within the school
