Position : Toolmaker

Location : Alcester

Basic Salary : £29,620 - £36,000 per year

Hours : 7.30 am to 4.45 pm M-T (7.30 - 13 : 00 Friday)

Job Type : Permanent

Role Overview :

A prominent engineering company is seeking a skilled professional to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in New Product Introduction and Development, focusing on tooling design and manufacture.

Key Responsibilities :

  • New Product Introduction & Development : Collaborate with the Engineering team to facilitate the tooling design and manufacturing process.
  • Tool Usage : Demonstrate understanding and safe use of air tools and hand tools.
  • Machining Support : Provide support for production machining activities as needed.
  • Machine Setup : Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling according to established procedures.
  • Operational Efficiency : Execute operations efficiently as per job card or technical instructions to meet required output levels.

Person Specification :

  • Industry Experience : Previous experience in Automotive, Aerospace, or Defence sectors, with evidenced tool room experience.(4 years)
  • Team Player : Build and maintain good working relationships, always acting as a team player.
  • Attention to Detail : Maintain high attention to detail and process adherence, applying a right-first-time mentality.
  • Effective Communication : Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Reliability & Dedication : Demonstrate reliability and dedication in all aspects of the role.
  • Workload Management : Manage workload efficiently, prioritizing tasks where necessary.
  • Housekeeping : Be conscious of, and adhere to, housekeeping requirements.
  • Qualifications : NVQ in machining.
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in Software CNC programming.
