Field Service EngineerLocation : UK-wide (variable travel distances)Hours : Monday – Friday | Dependent on services and workloadSalary : £36,000 per annumJob DescriptionOur client is looking for a driven and knowledgeable individual to join as a Field Service and Training Specialist. This role involves delivering technical support, servicing air conditioning units, and providing City & Guilds training. Travel and overnight stays are a key part of this position, offering an exciting and dynamic work environment.Key Responsibilities of a Field Service and Training SpecialistPerform routine maintenance and servicing of air conditioning units, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably.

  • Diagnose and repair faults in air conditioning systems to minimise downtime for customers.
  • Conduct installation checks and commissioning of new air conditioning units.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on the use and care of their equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels on company vehicles, ensuring all necessary tools and spare parts are available.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and health and safety regulations during all service activities.
  • Participate in regular training to stay updated on the latest industry practices, equipment, and regulations.
  • Travel to customer sites as required, with occasional overnight stays.Key Skills of a Field Service and Training Specialist
  • Strong understanding of air conditioning systems.
  • City & Guilds mobile air conditioning qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous sales experience, ideally in the automotive or agricultural sectors.
  • High level of literacy, numeracy, and IT proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong networking and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
