Interim CFO

We are currently working with a prestigious University who are looking to appoint an  interim CFO  on a  6 month contract .

As a member of the Executive Board, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and strategic guidance, supporting the commercial leadership and providing high-level advice to the Vice-Chancellor.

The role is due to start as soon as possible, with interviews scheduled for week commencing 16th September.

Duties will include (but not limited to) :

Contributing to companywide strategies through financial leadership

Overall responsibility of £850m annual spend and a £80m capital programme

Providing leadership for the finance functions human, financial and physical resources

Offering strategic advice on financial strategy, investment, risk and deployment of resources

Ensuring compliance with institutional, legal and regulatory requirements

Suggesting innovative strategies for financing estate and other investments

Providing the Vice-Chancellor are provided with timely and easily accessible financial information for planning, resource allocation and strategic decision making

Essential requirements

Experience working with the Education sector

Proven track record in working at an executive level

Significant experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams

Knowledge of the challenges facing the Higher Education sector
