Do you have…
A little bit about us…
We're the pub that tells a story. Whether it’s a story of love, celebration, appreciation, or simple time spent together, we tell it, and we tell it in the best way possible. We offer an elevated pub experience through our freshly prepared food, handcrafted drinks, and an enjoyably unique experience from start to finish. We want the people who strive to make a difference, who can inspire our guests, and who can elevate our sites into more than just a pub. Opened as George IV in 1824, The Angelic was renamed after the film The Angelic Conversation, directed by Derek Jarman, who lived opposite the pub during the 1960s. Situated in the heart of Islington and five minutes away from Angels station, The Angelic pub boasts huge windows and high ceilings, especially the ‘Sistine Chapel’ on the first floor, forming a beautiful backdrop for friendly staff serving seasonal British food, a wide choice of cask and craft beers and an extensive gin selection. From a quick lunch or snacks with a drink after work, to a sit down dinner or a corporate party with canapés and Prosecco in the week and music, to private parties and cocktails on a weekend, we have something for all our guests.
