Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a role that offers excellent pay, varied work, and a shift pattern that gives you 6 days off in every 10? We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer in St Neots for a Dual-Skilled Maintenance Fitter to join their skilled and supportive maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, mechanically strong engineer who enjoys fault-finding, keeping production moving, and working with a wide range of equipment. What You’ll Be Doing : Mechanical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs across factory equipmentSupporting production teams with setups and equipment optimisationRapid response to breakdowns to keep operations running smoothlyPreventive maintenance (PPM) and ongoing reliability improvementsFabrication and installation of machinery when requiredWorking safely and contributing to a strong safety cultureFirst-line response for site services (boilers, chillers, air compressors)What You’ll Need : Recognised mechanical apprenticeship (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)Experience maintaining production equipment in a fast-paced settingSolid fault-finding skills with a hands-on, proactive approachMachining and / or welding experienceIdeally dual-skilled with some electrical knowledgeFamiliarity with CMMS or maintenance logging systemsONC / HNC or equivalent is a bonusReliable, team-focused, and safety-conscious attitudeWhat You’ll Get in Return : £49,500 base salary + regular overtimeFantastic 10-day shift cycle : 2 days on (06 : 00–18 : 00), 2 nights on (18 : 00–06 : 00), 6 days offHolidays built into the shift pattern – no need to burn annual leave to get extended breaksAnnual Tool AllowanceCompany Pension & Sick Pay SchemesFree onsite parkingSupportive team and long-term job securityShift Pattern : 2 Days (06 : 00 – 18 : 00)2 Nights (18 : 00 – 06 : 00)6 Days Off(Repeat every 10 days – holidays included in rotation)This is an ideal role for someone who wants high earnings, long rest periods, and a varied, hands-on engineering role in a successful business.
