Job description

One of our clients, a large manufacturing business with 7 sites across the UK and USA, is looking to expand their team with a Store Envoy / Stock Controller, covering both their Matlock and Sheffield sites.

The client specializes in manufacturing high-quality forged components and providing engineering solutions to a variety of industries. They focus on delivering precision-engineered parts, such as forged shafts, flanges, and fittings, often used in critical applications like aerospace, energy, and automotive.

The main objective of your role as a Store Envoy / Stock Controller is to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure a smooth operation of the warehouse. Your duties would involve :

  • Inventory management and forecasting
  • Order fulfilment
  • Stock replenishment
  • Data entry and reporting

Overall, a Store Envoy will help to maintain stock management and minimize operational costs.

To be considered for this role :

  • Must have a Full UK Driving Licence, with unlimited access to your own transport
  • Previous experience of Inventory Management Systems (IMS) is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and use initiative
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
  • Working Hours, Travel & Other Information :

    You would be required to work between 2 sites, one in Sheffield (River Don) and one in Matlock (Darley Dale), spending 2 days at one site and 3 days at the other.

    The working hours at the River Don site will be 8 : 30 am until 5 pm and at Darley Dale it would be 8 am until 4 pm; however, they would be flexible or open to a 10 am until 6 pm schedule if this is better suited. You will have a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

    Your rate of pay for this role would be £15.19 per hour, and you will also be paid the mileage costs between each of the sites.

    The role is likely to run up until June 2024; however, this may be extended depending on business needs. There is also the possibility of the role turning into more of a permanent position.
