Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Lewisham Full-Time | Long-Term | Immediate Start | Until July 2025We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive mainstream Secondary School in Lewisham. This full-time, long-term position is to start immediately and will run through to the end of the academic year (July 2025).This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for education and prior experience working with young people to make a meaningful difference in a dynamic school environment.Key Responsibilities : Support students in and out of the classroom to enhance their learning and developmentWork closely with teachers to deliver tailored support to individual students or small groupsAssist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom activitiesPromote a positive and inclusive learning environmentMonitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staffSupport pupils with additional needs as requiredUphold school policies on behaviour and safeguardingRequirements : Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar settingA valid DBS registered on the Update Service - this is essentialExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA patient, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting learnersCommitment to the full duration of the academic yearPay : Competitive - dependent on experienceIf you are an enthusiastic individual looking to take the next step in your education career, we would love to hear from you
