Engineer (Asset Management) - Permanent Full Time

The Asset Management function within Altrad Babcock is a highly specialised engineering services and equipment provider supporting customers to minimise cost, maximise return and mitigate risk through their asset integrity lifecycle. We are recruiting exceptional candidates to join our mission in becoming a fully certified Asset Management engineering services provider of both consultancy and integrated projects, across future global low carbon energy and infrastructure markets.
The Asset Management business provides a broad range of services primarily in power generation industries including thermal, nuclear and renewables, together with process, oil & gas, petrochemical and the newly emerging fusion energy research sectors. Within this function we have an opportunity for a Engineer to join us in Grangemouth.
Profile
As Engineer, your initial development will, through a combination of work-based experience, mentoring and guided tuition for various task-specific requirements. You will be based in the Grangemouth office for site-based activities and, project work on client sites which may include deployment elsewhere in the UK, Renfrew head-office or overseas.
You will be expected to deliver solutions and contribute to the teams you work in; so, you must be able to demonstrate integrity, self-motivation, initiative and excellent communication skills.

The minimum educational requirement is a 2 : 2 honours degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline such as Metallurgy, Welding Engineering, Chemical or Process Engineering. Together with 1-2 years of experience in an engineering related role, assertiveness and attention to detail, with aptitude for coordinating with personnel at all levels is particularly important.
Candidates with knowledge of relevant industry standards, with awareness in Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC) is essential and understanding of materials, welding and metallurgy will be at a distinct advantage.
