Job summary
The Senior Practice Nurse will practice independently and autonomously delivering care andtreatment to patients. The postholder will have gained a wide range of knowledge and clinicalskills in a Primary care setting.
The role delivers a high standard of care on the treatment of minor illness and minor injury and the postholder has expertise in the management of long term conditions such as Diabetes, COPD, asthma, heart disease and support lead of female cancer screening services.
The Senior Practice Nurse will be experienced in the delivery of Public Health England's health promotion programmes such as immunisations, women's health, and lifestyle conditions such as smoking and obesity.
The postholder will have excellent organisational and time management skills to ensure clinics are managed efficiently and effectively, without compromising patient care or safety.
The Senior Practice Nurse will have line management and leadership responsibilities for thenursing team and lead on the practice based placements for students ensuring a safe andeffective learning environment is maintained.
Main duties of the job
