CNC Setter / Operator

Location : Cirencester, Gloucestershire

Hours : Full-time | Permanent

Salary : Up to £16.00 per hour

Our client is looking for a skilled CNC Setter / Operator to join their team! This role involves setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision parts and components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various CNC milling machines, including Mazak, Bridgeport, and Brother 5-axis and 3-axis machines, using Mazatrol, Heidenhain, and Fanuc controls.

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Setter / Operator

Set and operate CNC milling machine tools.
Set up tooling and fixturing as per set-up sheets.
Monitor tool life and ensure efficient operation.
Verify standards of manufacture using measuring equipment.
Obtain First Off inspection approval for every operation.
Accurately log operation times in real-time via the Shop Floor Data Capture system.
Work safely and follow all health and safety policies and procedures.

Key Skills & Experience Required

Strong background in sub-contract CNC manufacturing.

Previous experience in CNC machining.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience using Mazatrol, Heidenhain, and Fanuc controls.

Attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.

Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
