About the role

This role is based in Newcastle and requires hybrid working (3 days in the office per week). Employment is subject to security clearances, including BPSS and SC, which require a 5-year UK address history.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing scalable data solutions using emerging technologies.
  • Understanding and delivering client requirements through effective communication.
  • Contributing to engineering, design, and strategy innovations.
  • Mentoring team members and participating in internal networks.

    • Minimum qualifications

  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS services and marquee projects.
  • Knowledge of AWS services like EC2, Storage, Security, Containers, IAM, Networking, Data Processing, and Machine Learning.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python programming.
  • Experience with Big Data challenges and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Understanding of Cloud Security principles.
  • Experience in full project lifecycle and working in agile or Waterfall environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

    • Preferred qualifications

  • Client-facing experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Solution Architect.
  • Team management or multi-project experience.
