Job description

Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Rheumatology administrative team at the Nightingale Hospital Exeter, working to support the clinical team. For more information about our services please visit our website;

  • Provide a professional, efficient and effective reception and appointment booking service to patients and visitors in accordance with Trust policies and standards; acting as the public face for the RDUH NHS Trust
  • Undertake general clerical duties
  • Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times
  • Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy
  • Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times

We are looking for individuals with experience and proven skills in administration with excellent people skills to join the team. The role will include undertaking administrative duties, and dealing with queries over the phone. The successful applicant will need to be able to offer flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

The successful applicant will be responsible for all outpatient and surgical bookings for the Rheumatology service, answering telephone queries in a professional manner, and working within the wider admin team providing clerical support where needed.
