MERITUS are recruiting for a Laminator Fitter to join our client on an initial 12 month contract to work on advanced aerospace projects.

LAMINATOR FITTER - INSIDE IR35 - £20 PER HOUR VIA UMBRELLA - GREATER BLACKBURN & DARWEN - 12 MONTHS - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

We are seeking a skilled Laminator Fitter to handle the assembly, fitting, and bonding of composite materials, producing lightweight yet strong structures. This role requires working with materials like carbon fiber and resin to manufacture components that meet exact specifications. The ideal candidate will have a background in laminating processes and an excellent eye for detail.

Main Responsibilities :

• Surface Preparation : Clean and apply release agents to molds and work surfaces to ensure proper bonding and release of composite materials.
• Material Handling : Cut, lay up, and fit composite materials, such as carbon fiber, following engineering drawings and detailed work instructions.
• Bonding Application : Evenly apply resin and bonding agents to composite layers, ensuring proper adhesion throughout the lamination process.
• Assembly and Fitting : Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices to accurately assemble and fit composite components.
