ROLE Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

TERM Permanent

LOCATION Berkshire

SALARYdependent on experience

My client designs and manufactures Robotic products and solutions. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Berkshire on a permanent basis.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes :

• A keen interest in Robots / Robotics
• At least 3 years experience in a similar Mechanical / Design Engineering position
• Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks Inventor Creo etc.
• Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of a variety of materials sheet metal injection moulded plastics etc.
• Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Proficient using MS Office
• Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
• Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multidisciplinary team
