Main Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Quarry Manager, the Quarry Supervisor  will assist in the management of a busy quarry supervising and operating both fixed and mobile Plant equipment.

As Quarry Supervisor  you will also be responsible for :

  • Administrative and compliance duties
  • Using computer systems (Fortek, SAP, Excel and similar platforms)
  • Housekeeping tasks and general maintenance assisting the fitting team
  • Adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures and encouraging others to do so
  • Supervising a team (Operators, Fitters, Electricians) across the quarry
  • Occasional night shifts and weekend working that will be on a rota basis
  • Work with other Plant Supervisors to ensure the plant is always running to its expected capacity and in line with the manufacturing and production programme

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Quarry Supervisor  will have previous experience of working within a Quarry, Asphalt plant environment or similar. Supervisor experience is essential.

Suitable candidates for the role of Quarry Supervisor  will also have :

  • Working knowledge of operating / maintaining processing Plant including excavators, front end loaders and dump-trucks (experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to operate and maintain fixed and mobile crushing and screening Plants (experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability and willingness to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levels
  • Confidence to work both independently and as part of a team, providing the motivation to yourself as well as your team to achieve the site production requirements
  • Strong IT skills
  • Flexible working approach
