7.5 TONNE DRIVER

WORKING 5 DAYS OUT OF 7 (ROTA PROVIDED)

START TIMES : 04 : 00 - 06 : 00

PAY RATE : £13.50 - £27.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Norwich.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

To be considered for this role you MUST have a minimum of 24 months of continuous driving experience.

Rates of Pay (PAYE) :

  • Basic : £13.50
  • Overtime after 8 hours : £20.25
  • Saturday : £20.25
  • Sunday : £27.00
  • Bank Holiday : £27.00

    • Day to Day Duties

    Your duties as a 7.5T Driver will involve but not be limited to :

  • Delivering most building materials and home interior improvements products (not bathrooms and kitchens)
  • Operate and drive various 7.5t vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

    • Essential Skills

    As a 7.5T Driver you will need to :

  • Must be able to work as a team
  • Have a minimum of 24 months of continuous experience driving Category C1 vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
  • Must be able to use PDA (personal digital assistant)
  • Hold a valid UK Category C1 Licence
  • Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
  • Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills

    • Desirable Experience

  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
  • Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial

    • Training

  • Six-hour online training must be completed before attending assessment.
  • Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
  • After successful Assessment, there will be an on-job training
