Geography Teacher – Hyde – April Start
We are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in Hyde . This role is set to start in April 2025 , and we are looking for a teacher with a passion for Geography and helping students explore the world around them.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels, ensuring they develop a strong understanding of the subject.
- Adapt lessons to suit the varied needs of students, ensuring that all learners are included and challenged.
- Assess student progress through regular homework, classwork, and mock exams, providing constructive feedback.
- Promote student development by preparing them for their GCSE exams and supporting them through their learning journey.
- Collaborate with the department to share best practices and contribute to the school’s curriculum development.
- Support the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, such as field trips or after-school clubs, to enrich the students' learning experiences.
Requirements :
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (e.g., PGCE or School Direct).Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 (preferably GCSE).A passion for Geography and a strong understanding of the curriculum.Excellent classroom management skills with a proactive approach to dealing with behaviour.Commitment to student achievement and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.Ability to motivate and inspire students , encouraging a love for the subject and the skills necessary for their academic success.What’s on Offer?
