Geography Teacher – Hyde – April Start

We are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in Hyde . This role is set to start in April 2025 , and we are looking for a teacher with a passion for Geography and helping students explore the world around them.

Key Responsibilities :

Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels, ensuring they develop a strong understanding of the subject.
Adapt lessons to suit the varied needs of students, ensuring that all learners are included and challenged.
Assess student progress through regular homework, classwork, and mock exams, providing constructive feedback.
Promote student development by preparing them for their GCSE exams and supporting them through their learning journey.
Collaborate with the department to share best practices and contribute to the school’s curriculum development.
Support the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, such as field trips or after-school clubs, to enrich the students' learning experiences.

Requirements :

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (e.g., PGCE or School Direct).

Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 (preferably GCSE).

A passion for Geography and a strong understanding of the curriculum.

Excellent classroom management skills with a proactive approach to dealing with behaviour.

Commitment to student achievement and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Ability to motivate and inspire students , encouraging a love for the subject and the skills necessary for their academic success.
