Are you an experienced Level 2 / 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a new role?About the roleAs a Teaching Assistant, with a drive to improve the life chances of young people through education, the successful applicant will : Support young people with barriers to their learningEffectrively challenge behaviour and embed the school's beahviour policyBe a good role modelSupport the wider team of staffUndertake break duties and lead break clubsSupport students in class, 1 : 1 and small groupsDeliver intervention groups to support learningAbout the schoolThis role is a wonderful opportunity to join an Ofsted 'Good' Secondary School based in Glossop, close to the Stockport and Tameside boarder.The school has fantastic facilities and resources for students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join an incredibly proud, committed, and inspiring team of teachers and support staff.Required on a full-time basis, the role is to start asap and is ongoing.RequirementsTo be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will : Be able to work 1 : 1 with students who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who will have Special Educational NeedsHave a warm and caring personalityHave a genuine desire to support young peopleHold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualificationSalary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are : Have a minimum of 6 months experience supporting young people in educatiuonHold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualificationVision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
