I am seeking a Skilled Machine Borer to join my renowned aviation industry client based in West London, close to Heathrow Airport. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating all types of boring machines, particularly horizontal boring machines and jig borers.Strong benefits package and opportunities for personal advancement on offer!Role : Machine Borer Location : West London Shift : Monday to Friday with some flexibility required included working overtime at weekends Salary : Up to £34,078Main responsibilities : To operate all types of boring machines to fine limits.Operate various boring machines to precision limits.Work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks.Read, interpret, and work from technical drawingsEnsure compliance with company procedures, OHM, CMM, and SOPM.Demonstrate knowledge of horizontal boring practices and the ability to measure using imperial units.Utilise computers, spreadsheets and database programs Ideal candidate profile : Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalentAbility to communicate fluently in written and spoken EnglishTrained in machine shop technology and machining practices.Extensive experience operating horizontal boring machines.Strong working knowledge of jig borers.Knowledge of CNC boring is preferable.Aerospace industry experience is preferred but not essential.Strong understanding of precision machining and quality c...
