Working Foreman

Gillingham - Kent

Full Time, Permanent 42.5 Hours per week.

Salary up to £34,680 + Company Van and fuel card.

About the role :

As a working foreman, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. You’ll also be supporting the supervisor by managing a small team, coordinating tasks, and ensuring that everyone is working effectively

  • Overseeing the work of laborers and subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely
  • Maintaining health and safety standards on-site, ensuring all workers adhere to regulations
  • Assigning tasks to team members based on their skills and expertise
  • Acting as a liaison between management and workers, ensuring clear communication of project goals and updates
  • Managing orders and deliveries of materials and equipment, and ensuring they are used effectively
  • Addressing any issues or disputes that arise on-site, and finding solutions to keep the project on track
  • Providing guidance and training to junior team members to help them improve their skills
  • Creating work schedules and ensuring that deadlines are met

Role Criteria :

  • SOR Experience
  • Damp and Mould Experience
  • H&B experience
  • Previous experience in Social Housing essential
  • Provide own hand tools

    To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.

    Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS / Security checks before commencement of employment.
