Job description

Do you have a passion for inspiring young minds and making a positive impact in children’s lives?

We are seeking to appoint casual  Educators  (Children's Services Employee's) to join the team at  St Mary's OSHC  based in  Ipswich .

St Mary's OSHC provides education and care for up to 120 children. At St Mary's, we believe each child is unique and learns differently, so our educators spend time getting to know each child and their family so that we can create engaging learning experiences that capture their interest and help them build new skills.

We offer a flexible, child-initiated program with educators incorporating children’s ideas, cultures and interests when planning each day’s experiences.

Hours :  Casual - BSC, ASC, and Vacation Care

Qualifications :   Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or ACECQA equivalent would be desirable

A day in the life of an OSHC Educator

  • Providing nurturing care for children
  • Ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming environment
  • Create fun recreational and educational experiences that are inclusive for all
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.

Job Requirements

  • Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines would be desirable but not essential
  • A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law / Regulations or ability to acquire
  • Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
