You'll provide expert legal advice to client departments, colleagues, stakeholders, and other parties as appropriate. You will also support the Litigation and Public Protection team, as well as other Legal Services teams, in their day-to-day operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
Your key responsibilities will include handling a diverse caseload, with a primary focus on housing matters within court and tribunal proceedings Areas of work will include :
- Possession proceedings
- Anti-social behaviour cases
- Homelessness challenges and appeals
- Disrepair claims
- Environmental protection and statutory nuisance issues
- Tenancy management and breaches
- Enforcement actions, debt recovery, and injunctions
- Advising on relevant legislation and policies
