Job description

Contract : Full Time, Permanent

Salary : £16 per hour

Hours : 30 per week

A small independent pre-prep day school for girls, part of a large group of schools, located in the heart of Kensington, London. Catering for approximately 50 students and staff, offering lunch and mid-morning snacks, with some hospitality services. This is a term-time-only contract working 40 weeks a year, operating Monday to Friday.

We are seeking a talented Chef De Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious London locations.

Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level is required.

You will enjoy working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and bespoke, regularly changing menus. Creativity and skill showcase opportunities are available for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities :

  • Work collaboratively with a team of chefs to provide catering services to pupils and teachers.
  • Prepare food using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch, and adhering to the company's brand standards.
  • Maintain food standards and control wastage.
  • Follow all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies, and allergen control procedures.

Skills required :

  • A genuine interest in food and excellent customer service skills.
  • A team player with innovation and passion for great food.
  • An organized chef with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of food cost and wastage management.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Experience in customer service or food preparation environments is preferred.
