Job Title : Accounts Senior

Location : Chesterfield

Salary : Up to £35,000 (DOE)

Our client, a respected and growing accountancy practice based in Chesterfield, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-experienced individual to take the next step in their career within a supportive and client-focused environment.

As an Accounts Senior , the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting services to a diverse client base, including Limited Companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships. Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Senior :

  • Preparation of year-end accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
  • Preparation of Corporation Tax Computations and associated tax returns
  • Liaising with clients to gather information and provide updates
  • Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT work prepared by junior staff
  • Assisting in the supervision and mentoring of junior team members
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements

    • The ideal Accounts Senior will have experience working in a public practice environment. Strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

    Requirements :

  • ACA / ACCA part or fully qualified (qualified by experience will also be considered)
  • Previous experience in a similar Accounts Senior role within practice
  • Good working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
