Job description

CLOSING DATE 30 JUNE 2024

As Aftermarket Winch Products Teamleader you will be responsible for coordinating, expediting & achieving a schedule of work making sure product repair work is carried out in a timely manner.

You will also be responsible to make sure all processes, procedures and work instructions issued are carried out by yourself and the workshop staff. You will be a Point of Contact (POC) for all Service & Rental Maintenance / Repair and testing of ASEP K-Winch and Elmar products, consisting of truck mounted and offshore containerised winches, diesel driven power packs, telescopic and folding wireline masts. L Winch, Mast and Compressor.

Communicating with customers & key stakeholders with information relating to the work, you will be customer focused controlling the project & relevant documentation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Work with Project Planner to define current and future workload within the Department
  • Be a Contact / Liaison internally & externally for Equipment Service & Repair jobs where needed
  • Assist with Technical Support to clients
  • Service Stock level maintenance and monitoring
  • Raise Purchase Requisitions for parts and outside Services
  • Support and Mentor assigned Aftermarket Winch Technicians
  • Take part in weekly Meetings and actively contribute and undertake tasks identified
  • Monitor workshop Service Stocks of consumables and spare parts and request replenishment orders in a timely manner where necessary
  • Ensure (at least) thorough Visual Inspection of equipment is carried out on all Service Equipment
  • Monitor overtime requirements including manning levels to complement capacity requirements
  • Maintain an organized / visual workspace including inventory (5S understanding and LEAN principles)
  • Contribute to induction training of staff
  • Support key initiatives such as on time delivery, schedule attainment, cost of quality
  • Review and amend employee timecards daily
  • Control documentation and final data book for client
  • File and archive all relevant documentation (Digital)
  • Contribute to internal / external QC Audits when required
  • Travel Customer Sites when required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 National 5 passes or equivalent (essential)
  • HNC in engineering-related subject (desirable)
  • EXPERIENCE

  • Hands on working with mechanical and hydraulic equipment (essential)
  • Working knowledge of running full project lifecycle. Possess detailed knowledge of product, production planning, with the business requirements. Experience with wellhead equipment, preferably in a ‘hands on’ or management environment (essential)
  • SKILLS, TRAINING OR SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Computer literacy (including advanced command of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook) (essential)
  • ERP knowledge - Oracle / Omega would be an advantage but training will be provided
  • Pressure Testing understanding / training (essential)
  • Knowledge of tools,
  • concepts and methodologies of QA (desirable)
  • Team Supervisory experience
  • API Competence and Knowledge (desirable)
