This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a skilled team for a company who prides themselves on exceptional high quality work throughout the UK and will report directly to the mechanical team leader.The Mechanical CAD Design Engineer will be responsible for : Creating layouts, elevations, schematics and detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD or RevitPreparing equipment schedules, project specifications and design standardsMechanical engineering calculations for pipeworks, heat loss and duct sizing using tools such as HevacompEnsuring design documentation and calculations are accurate and meet compliance for british building regulationsResponding to technical inquiries from clients, contractors and consultantsMaintaining a database of electronic documentationSupporting the development of installation level stage 5 designsRepresenting the company at client meetingsThe ideal Mechanical CAD Design Engineer candidate will have : A minimum of 2 years experience in mechanical building services or HVAC designProficiency with AutoCad (or Revit would be advantageous)Knowledge of Hevacomp and familiarity with SAP / SBEM modelling toolsA good understanding of British regulations and standards or best practiceA qualification or HNC in building services or a related disciplineWorking knowledge of technical submissions and document management systemsExcellent IT skillsStrong communication skillsBenefits : Pension SchemePrivate and personal healthcareOngoing training and development
