Our Prepared Foods Division are recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join our enthusiastic team. This role will report to the General Manager and be part of the Senior Management Team.As an Engineering Manager, you thrive on transformational projects and taking full accountability for delivery. You live & breath project plans, new technology and budgets. You relish the opportunity to present to senior executives and flourish when able to build cross-functional relationships.You will be responsible for the Engineering Team where you will coach, support, and develop the team and manage their career development and succession planning. You will ensure your team completes work to the required standard and be sure this is carried out following all safety procedures and resolve any issues as soon as they arise.Building internal and external strong working relationships will be imperative to this role. You will need to work closely with our Production Team and demonstrate teamwork when working together to resolve issues and establish robust data capture systems to include OEE and down time analysis.Showcasing attention to detail will be important as you will manage the department budget to include labour, overtime, contractors, tooling, and consumables. You will also need to have a clear understanding of technical compliance and ensure always audit ready. You will also be confident to present department performance, present and benchmark current activities and assess the financial impact of the maintenance strategy.At Branston, we believe in making a sustainable positive difference to our people and the planet. • Experience in the FMCG sector, ideally in food or fresh produce, as an Engineering Manager
• Strategic thinking, planning & implementation?
• Experience influencing Exec level stakeholders?
• A passion for developing people and continuous improvement?
• Carrying out routine maintenance and checks on all site machinery and equipment resulting in an effective planned maintenance system where all checks are planned and documented.
• To oversee any maintenance work carried out at the site.
• To control and record any site safety issues, reporting them to the relevant departmental heads.
• Allocation of duties to the Maintenance Team and Maintenance Manager, ensuring the work is carried out in a safe, timely and professional manner.
• Development and control of a preventative maintenance programme.
• To support the Production Department by providing a trained resource to participate in routine problem resolution meetings.
