Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Associate or Senior Associate – all levels of PQE considered

Associate or Senior Associate – Clinical Negligence – Liverpool

Healthcare Litigation / Clinical Negligence – This role would ideally suit an experienced clinical negligence solicitor at Associate or Senior Associate level. The hiring managers are prepared to consider a broad range of PQE. Candidates with either claimant or defendant experience are welcome to apply. Furthermore, retrain opportunities are available so if you have experience in another area of law such as EL / PL, for example, we would like to hear from you.

  • Salary :   £Excellent – ‘top tier’ rate
  • Reports to :   Head of Department
  • Previous Experience :   The hiring managers are keen to attract a broad range of PQE. Claimant or defendant clinical negligence experience is welcome. There is also the possibility of a retrain from other areas such as EL / PL.

Stellar team advising on complex, technical and engaging work

The team advises on high-value, complex cases, from birth injury matters to serious instances of misdiagnosis and other examples of malpractice. Your work and responsibilities will correspond to your level of experience. For example, as an Associate, your work will include :

  • Interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements
  • Instructing experts as well as counsel
  • Attending Court
  • Negotiating settlements.
  • Holding conferences with Counsel.
  • Assisting on more complex cases
  • As a Senior Associate, whilst you will still have fee earning responsibilities, you will also have more of an input and contribution to business development initiatives as well as being given the opportunity to lead and supervise more junior colleagues.

    Secondments and other development opportunities

    This role offers the opportunity to complete inhouse secondments whether with public healthcare trusts or private medical institutions. The team is also a highly respected contributor to thought leadership in this practice area. Whether through advice clinics at local hospitals or through client training seminars, you will be given a fantastic opportunity to grow your profile as your career develops.
