Mechanical Project Engineer

Offering £45,+ depending on experience
Due to the nature of the role & the industry you will be working in you will be required to achieve UK SC Clearance
As the Mechanical Project Engineer, you will join the delivery team and work on global projects. You will design, procure then manufacture solutions by working closely with customers and suppliers and are quickly moving towards maturing designs and ordering long lead items so now is the team to make a change.
You will be involved in :
- Leading a small team of engineers from a technical perspective, delegating tasks, and checking and approving technical documentation
- Heading designs and manufacturing tactical and strategic solutions to support new Ocean Interface systems
- Managing internal and external design reviews and meetings with the customer, paying attention to the big complex picture and the finer details of the designs safety
- Acting as the key point of contact with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders on engineering solutions
- Innovating new ways to streamline and deliver submarines quicker while maintaining cost, quality, and safety
Your skillset may include :
Experience leading design orientated tasks across a product lifecycle in a production and / or prototype environmentExperience presenting design concepts, technical reports and specifications to stakeholdersExperience working in a hands-on mechanical background or interpreting design plansDegree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering disciplineCEng or ability to attainDefence experience or working within this experienceIf this all sounds like something you will be interested in then simply apply and we can discuss the opportunity further!
