We are seeking an experienced and proactive Nursery Manager to lead our dynamic team in delivering outstanding care and education for children.As a Nursery Manager, you will provide professional leadership to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery while maintaining the highest standards of care, education, and compliance. You will play a vital role in supporting staff development, fostering a nurturing environment for children, and promoting the nursery to prospective families through open days and community engagement.Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management : Lead and motivate staff to deliver exceptional childcare and learning experiences.
- EYFS Compliance : Ensure the nursery consistently meets the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted requirements.
- Safety & Safeguarding : Maintain a safe environment and ensure all staff understand and adhere to safeguarding protocols.
- Special Needs Support : Champion inclusion and support children with special needs.
- Health & Safety : Oversee compliance with health and safety policies, ensuring all staff have the appropriate first aid and safety training.
- Staff Development : Induct, support, and train team members, conducting regular appraisals to uphold high-quality practices.
- Child Development : Create an enriching environment for children to thrive in their early years through stimulating and age-appropriate activities.
- Marketing & Engagement : Actively promote the nursery, participate in open days, and liaise with families to maintain strong relationships.Requirements
- A hands-on, proactive approach to childcare management.
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Experience in safeguarding and health & safety protocols.
- A valid Enhanced DBS Disclosure or willingness to complete one.
- Min QQI Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
- Min 2 year nursery experience
- Min 1 year in a leadership role in a nurseryBenefits
