Job Description :

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. Your duties will include :

Job Duties :

Assisting the teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN
Supporting students with their learning and development
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Providing one-to-one support to students as required
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour strategies
Collaborating with other staff members and professionals to support student progress

Required Qualifications :

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills :

Experience working as support worker

Knowledge of SEN and different learning needs

Ability to adapt and respond to individual student requirements

Patience, empathy, and understanding towards students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications :

Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools

Diploma in Health and Social care

Training in Manual Handling and Safeguarding

First Aid certification

Working Conditions :
