Job Title : Contact Officer Location : Civic Centre, Stoke-on-Trent Client : Stoke-on-Trent City Council Hours : Full-time Monday-Friday with occasional rota-based Saturday working, 37 hours per week Pay : £15.80 per hour Contract : Initially 3 months, with potential for extension Start Date : 28th April Driving Licence & Access to a Car Required About the Role : Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Contact Officer to join a committed and supportive team at Stoke-on-Trent Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families. You’ll be supervising and observing family contact sessions, providing support and guidance to families, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children throughout. Key Responsibilities : Supervise and observe contact between children and their familiesOffer support and advice while safeguarding children and young peopleProvide written and verbal feedback to families, carers, and professionalsBuild positive, professional relationships with children, families, and partner agenciesAttend relevant meetings and, if needed, provide verbal evidence in courtWork flexibly on a rota basis between 8am–8pm, including occasional weekendsWhat We’re Looking For : NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience) in working with children and familiesExperience supporting vulnerable children, ideally in a nursery or school settingFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleA good understanding of child developmentSomeone reliable, compassionate, and confident in direct work with children and familiesInterested?
