Woking & Sam Beare Hospice are pleased to announce the following position :

E-Commerce Assistant

We are a patient-centred charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to those with advanced life-limiting illnesses, who live in Northwest Surrey. We care for patients and provide support to families and carers in the community as well as in our In-Patient Unit and Well Being Centre at the Hospice.

You will, therefore, be joining a passionate and dedicated team of professionals that make a real difference to the families across Surrey community.

Retail Colleague

A successful E-Commerce Assistant will be :

  • Must have GCSE English and Maths [or equivalent]
  • Photographic flair
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Numerate
  • Literate, with strong grammar skills
  • Able to plan, organise and prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to calculate and record basic sums to enable accurate completion of banking and trading statements
  • Basic IT skills
  • Understanding of the current ecommerce environment
  • Effective communicator with excellent communication skills both face to face and in the written form.
  • Understanding of safe working practices

A successful candidate will have :

  • Sector relevant training and qualifications
  • Online experience – selling online – personal or professional
  • Knowledge of postal systems, picking and packing items
  • Microsoft Excel experience
  • Understanding / interest in current trends and fashion
  • Understanding of Gift Aid and why this can make a significant difference to increasing income
  • Knowledge of other courier postage options
  • Knowledge of current trends in fashion and the retail atmosphere
  • Knowledge of resale within the online marketplace
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not limiting in this position.
