Job description

The Role

To provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service. Where appropriate, supervise clerical staff and provide support to line manager

What we'll need you to bring

  • work experience in an Administrative and Clerical role.
  • Educated to Higher Grade level.
  • Ability to supervise staff.
  • Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.
  • Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.
  • Proficient I.T. skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.

It would be great if you also have

  • Audio typing qualification
  • Previous clerical experience in an NHS environment
  • Previous experience of prioritising work and working under pressure
  • Numeracy skills
  • Contract type

    Fixed Term for 12 Months

    Part Time

    29 hours

    Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

    Please note this is a fixed term for 12 Months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

    Location and Working Pattern

    This role will be based in Admin within Carluke Community Health Centre

    The working pattern for this role Monday to Friday
