Quantity Surveyor

Quantity SurveyorDCT Recruitment are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our client on a permanent basis due to continued growth. The QS will be working on projects across sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Leisure, Bluelight, Commercial and High-End Fit Outs across the UK, focusing on projects from £50k up to £3M plus. The QS will be working as a key member of the commercial team, with assistance from the Senior QS and Commercial Director based in Ashton-in-Makerfield.It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a HNC / Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar. Ideally the candidate will have relevant industry experience in similar work streams.Quantity Surveyor accountabilities :

• Ensure initial cost plans are sufficient to carry out the works to be undertaken.
• Develop procurement plans and procure the works in accordance with the cost plan and design information available.
• Ensure that there are no scope gaps during procurement – that everything required for the project is bought and from the correct / appropriate source via the procurement manager.
• Perform tender analysis to ensure value for money is achieved and that the works have been procured at the best market rates.
• Prepare contract documentation and negotiate contract terms to limit risk to the company.
