Job description

Senior Temporary Works Engineer - required to work in Leeds. My client is a large Civil Engineering Sub Contractor who specialise within RC Frames and Tunnelling with a £114 Million turnover. The Senior Temporary Works Engineer will be working on projects within the tunnelling industry as well as above Civil Engineering Ground Structures .

The most successful Senior Temporary Works Engineer will be degree educated BEng or MEng level in Civil and / or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience with expertise in underground structures / tunnelling temporary works as well as Network Rail CRE experience.

Senior Temporary Works Engineer Position Remuneration

Salary : £45k - £75k
23 day's holiday plus 8 days Bank Holidays
Discretional company bonus is,

Senior Temporary Works Engineer Position Overview

Assisting in the development and mentorship the team

Support for the tendering team developing construction methodology

Lead the projects through the preconstruction design phase and Construction phase

Mange KPI;s to tight programme dates

Understanding of health and safety regulations, design risk assessment processes in line with CDM H&S regulations

Coordinate external consultants and third-party checkers

Liaison with clients and the project construction teams.

Aid tender bids when required

Ensuring designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and are checked and approved following company quality procedures.

Report writing for client communication and statutory authorities design approvals

Senior Temporary Works Engineer Position Requirements

BEng or MEng level in Civil and / or Structural Engineering or similar disapline

Working towards chartership, such as the ICE or IStructE

5 + years' experience with expertise in underground structures / tunnelling temporary works

Design consultancy environment.

High level of technical skill with accomplished structural design skills

Good Geotechnical knowledge

Ability to help support, mentor and develop junior engineers within the team

Sound knowledge with CDM H&S regulations.

Excellent written English language and grammar
