Qualified Nurture Teacher – SEMH, EBSA & SEND Focus📍 Location : Wigan💰 Pay Rate : £26 – £30 per hour📅 Start Date : Immediate🕐 Contract Type : Flexible – Full-time or Part-timeAbout UsSEND Inclusion Support is dedicated to supporting children and young people who face barriers to education due to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). Our work is rooted in compassion, flexibility, and a deep understanding of the individual needs of each learner.We specialise in providing bespoke, nurturing education outside of the traditional classroom — in settings that meet the child where they are most comfortable : their homes, community libraries, and local learning centres.The RoleWe are seeking a Qualified Nurture Teacher (QTS essential) to deliver personalised education in 1 : 1 and small group settings within Wigan. You will play a vital role in supporting learners emotionally and academically, helping them re-engage with education in a way that works for them.This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity ideal for teachers who are passionate about making a difference to students who cannot access mainstream education.Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver targeted lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH, SEND, and EBSA.
  • Teach in alternative settings including students’ homes, libraries, and community centres.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that support emotional development alongside academic achievement.
  • Work closely with families, schools, and external agencies to create holistic support plans.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adapting strategies to support ongoing development.
  • Encourage student confidence, independence, and a love for learning.What We’re Looking For✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential requirement✅ Experience working with students with SEMH, EBSA, ASD, ADHD, and other SEND needs✅ Ability to deliver creative and flexible learning in community-based environments✅ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills✅ Confident working independently, including lone working in homes or libraries✅ A trauma-informed, nurturing approach to teachingDesirable :
