Aufgaben

Full time exempt position for TÜV SÜD America. Under general direction of the Director of IT, provides Server, Storage and Networking for the America’s Region. Responsible for ensuring that all systems are accessible and resolved issue in a timely efficient manner throughout all locations. Establish, implement, and communicate all related policies, procedures and ensure conformance. Occasional off-shift and / or off-site functions as necessary.

Responsibilities

Daily administration and support for all network and remote users in the America’s Region, including but not limited to :

Manage a cross-functional team to ensure a high level of support in a fast-paced environment across America’s Region

Work as an Information Technology conduit / liaison between customers, internal stakeholders, C-level staff, and IT.

Manage, coach, develop, and guide the international IT team.

Design, configure, maintain, and routinely test the regional Disaster Recovery plan.

Develop overall regional security standards, policies, and procedures in coordination with Global IT teams.

Work with global network and server teams to insure alignment with entire TÜV SÜD worldwide IT.

Manage and maintain a MPLS WAN / SD-WAN using Cisco routers and switches.

Manage and maintain a virtual network using VMware, SAN storage system, with replication to a DR site.

Work as a Subject Matter Expert and recommended IT solutions using best practices for both hardware and software to meet the needs and requirements of the customers and internal stakeholders on a global level.

Manage the lifecycle for all production hardware and created a plan for refreshing equipment as well as responsible recycling of outdated equipment

Serve as an escalation point for multiple teams providing guidance to resolve roadblocks and issues for successful delivery of services and project deliverables.

Support and optimize a global mobile infrastructure using MDM.

Provide support for all infrastructure hardware from setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Manage technical projects for customers consisting of new technology implementations, hardware / software upgrades, updates, and all other IT implementations.

Manage several technical vendors and vendor contracts. I hold them accountable to meet tasks and deadlines set in the project plan as well as control costs to stay on budget.

Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Microsoft Azure.

Manage a team that deploys computer patches using SCCM across our network.

Research and provided proof of concepts as well as ROIs for the acquisition of new technologies, leading to the current array of standardized tools.

Enforce stringent quality control standards and ensure attainment of all product development lifecycle milestones.

Manage and maintain our ISO27001 certification

Qualifikationen

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field a plus.

5 years Systems Manager

5 years Network Manager

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, ITIL) are a plus.

3 – 5 years Experience with Cisco switches, and routers

3-5 years end user support in a Microsoft OS and user multi-platform environment.

Active Directory experience and / or Certification

Must demonstrate knowledge in Microsoft Office365 suite support, Windows Server 201x / 202x administrative and system utilities.

Azure Administration and / or Certificate

Knowledge of Azure networking capabilities

Experience with SCCM roll outs as well as management.

Experience with Cisco VoIP a plus.

Experience using Bomgar Remote Support Tool a plus

Experience using Incident Management tools a plus

Excellent organizational and project management skills including ability to organize time and work on multiple tasks and follow through to completion of task or project.

Excellent at strategic and insightful thinking, with good judgment and an intuitive sense for identifying opportunities to support the business through technology.

Excellent ability to communicate verbally and also to create and write clear, complete documentation of systems and procedures.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
