Full Time Learning Support Assistant Required for a Secondary School in Alresford, Hampshire!

Join GSL Education in an exhilarating role as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) at a lively secondary school in Alresford ! This full-time position not only promises a dynamic work environment but also the chance for a permanent contract after a probation period. With a flexible start date, you can begin this rewarding journey either ASAP or from Easter 2025 , with a competitive annual salary of £17,500 to £19,500 .

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) :

  • Classroom Support : Assist students with their work in the classroom, ensuring lesson objectives are met.
  • Collaborative Efforts : Work alongside the class teacher to provide effective support for students.
  • Student Engagement : Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Individualised Support : Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Progress Monitoring : Track and report on student progress, adjusting support strategies as necessary.
  • Resource Preparation : Help prepare learning materials and resources for classroom activities.

Required Qualifications for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) :

  • Experience : Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team Player : Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proactive Approach : A proactive attitude towards professional development and learning.
  • Safeguarding : An updated CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
