Main duties of the job

  • Taking charge of autonomous clinical assessments, treatments, referrals, and providing adviceto first-contact patients across a diverse range of clinical conditions through direct contact consultations.
  • Excelling in communication, both verbal and nonverbal, establishing rapport with patients and caregivers. Making confident decisions and communicating them effectively, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Recognising and initiating where appropriate advice of relevant specialisms.
  • Maintaining appropriate clinical records in line with current practice guidelines.
  • Working effectively as part of a multi professional team in collaboration with other members of the service.

Location : Loughborough Urgent Treatment Centre (LUTC), Loughborough Hospital, Hospital Way, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 5JY

Competitive salary : £53,770 - £60,721 (Band

To be a successful Clinical Practitioner youll need :

  • To be a Registered Adult Nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), a Paramedic registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or a pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Evidence of autonomous practice Autonomous practice A33
  • Level 6 or 7 clinical examination module
  • Level 6 or 7 minor illness module
  • Emergency care practitioner qualification
  • Motivation, passion, positivity, resilience, and a determination to provide outstanding patient care.
  • RCN accredited nurse practitioner module
  • Right to work in the UK
