What We Are Looking For :

We are seeking individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences, including :

Martial Arts Coaches : If you have experience leading groups, managing behavior, and maintaining structure in a classroom, we want to put your skills to use!

Sports Instructors & Outdoor Activity Leaders : Use your experience managing large groups of students to engage and motivate in a classroom setting.

SEND Support Assistants : If you've worked 1 : 1 or in small groups with students, especially those with SEMH needs, this role will give you the opportunity to continue supporting children’s education in a structured classroom environment.

Volunteers with Classroom Experience : If you've volunteered leading groups of children in any capacity, your organizational and leadership skills are exactly what schools need!

The Role :

Supervising pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers

Managing classroom behavior to ensure a positive learning environment

Engaging with students to maintain focus and structure throughout lessons

Providing feedback to teachers on student progress and behavior

This is a flexible , ad hoc position with the potential for long-term placements, working in schools across Newcastle . Whether you’re looking for part-time work to fit around other commitments or seeking more consistent, full-time opportunities, this role is ideal for those interested in education or looking to build their career in teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
