Job description

Cera are recruiting Care Assistants for our Extra Care service in Amesbury.

Are you kind? A people person? Love making a difference in people's lives? Then we can offer you the perfect role as a Carer, where you will genuinely make a difference, every day! No experience required.

We're recruiting for part-time and full-time permanent positions, days and nights. It's secure work that comes with good pay, great training and no previous experience is required.

Extra Care units offer residents their own self-contained living space within a larger building, with access to care staff who are based within the unit and who provide care to each resident. As a care assistant at our Extra Care Unit, you will be supporting residents, who all have varying needs to live as independently as possible, with personalised care and support plans in place.

Every client's needs are different. You may assist with a bit of housework or help with getting up in the morning. A tasty hot meal and a listening ear. A hand with medication or getting washed and dressed. But more than this, our carers become friends, providing human company, encouragement and maybe a laugh or two, often when life has become a bit tough. Caring isn't always easy, but a lot of people and their families will be grateful that you were there for them.

Our benefits include :

  • Pay is paid in block shifts with no travel required during your shift.

Our benefits include :

  • Enhanced bank holiday rate
  • Holiday pay and pension scheme
  • Free DBS / PVG, company mobile phone and uniform provided

  • Enhanced maternity (12 weeks full pay), paternity and parental leave policies
  • An industry-leading career development pathway, including the Care Certificate and NVQ's, there is plenty of opportunity for progression - 50% of our salaried roles are filled internally.
  • Wellbeing support - including employee assistance programme, mental health first aiders, healthcare cash plan and free eye tests & contribution to the cost of glasses.
  • Extra earnings through our referral scheme Care Friends - £500 per referral
  • Cera makes caring easier with Cera Tech

We've brought homecare into the 21st century, by developing technology that streamlines administrative tasks, enhances outcomes, and allows you to focus on the most important part of your role - caring for our clients.

Our predictive technology and risk alerts have proven to equip our care teams with the knowledge they need to make decisions and take swift action, leading to a reduction in hospitalisations and a reduced risk of falls for those we care for - you really can care better as a member of our team.

  • A passion for helping others, and previous caring experience is desirable but not essential.
  • You should be flexible to work various shifts, including alternate weekends
